The Cole Harbour Woodside United Church Parish Nursing Ministry offers “The Care and Comfort of Christ” by fostering healing and wholeness of body, mind and spirit through prayer, pastoral care, health promotion, education and advocacy.

CHWUC currently does not have a parish nurse. If you know of anyone why may be interested, please contact the office. A Parish Nurse is usually a registered nurse with specific education in parish nursing and is a Designated Congregational Minister of CHWUC. The Parish Nurse promotes and integrates faith and health in the congregation through many roles such as health educator, personal health counsellor, liaison and referral agent, health advocate, organizer of support groups and trainer of volunteers. The Parish Nurse provides confidential support in the church office, home or hospital to help individuals make knowledgeable health decisions and cope effectively with alterations in their health.
