UCW stands for United Church Women, a long standing organization within the United Church.
The purpose of UCW is “To unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the church and to provide a medium through which they may express their loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness, study, fellowship and service.”
We are blessed to have a UCW unit – The Cole Harbour Unit meets on the first Monday evening of the month at 7 pm.
Our UCW supports local and community ministries and often has guest speakers as part of the monthly meeting. The unit helps with providing funeral receptions as part of our funeral ministry.
A warm invitation is extended to all women in the congregation to join the Cole Harbour UCW.
The Cole Harbour UCW Unit is looking for new members who might be interested in joining. Meetings are held on the 1st Monday evening of each month @ 7 pm in the Meeting Room. For more information, or if interested, please contact Dolores Adams @ 902-434-9243.
Can You Help….? Our UCW Unit is in need of some help. They are looking for some additional people they can call upon who would be able to provide donations of food when the Unit is catering funeral receptions here in the church.
