Who Knew? Dinner Theatre is finally here!!

It’s finally here!!! Check out the dates for the much anticipated Dinner Theater production “Who Knew?”

Get your tickets today to secure your seat!!!

It’s the 1950’s and tragedy has truck again at the Chateau Newberry & Winery! Join us for a tale of twists and turns, family secrets and deception. Throw in a cast of unruly servants and house guests along with an excentric psychic, missing chef and a secret long covered up, and you will have the making of this “tragic tail”. WHO Knew tragedy could be so funny LOL!

We will have our usual mouth-watering 3-course roast beef dinner (salad, rolls, roast beef, gravy, veggies and dessert). Yum!

Additionally anyone who can help volunteer for kitchen duties etc., please reach out to Jill Brogan.

Get ready for the Amazing Artisan Auction!

Are you a talented Artisan? Do you create or love fine craft ware? If so, then this is the auction for you! CHWUC is holding an on-line auction of exclusive, one-of-a-kind creations. We are looking for items such as:  fine wood working, quilts, afghans, stained glass, paintings, pottery, weaving, etc. Lovely creations for folks to bid on.

If you’d like to submit your item for the auction, please contact Jill Brogan at jillbrogan@accesswave.ca  (902) 329-4953 If you know someone who’d like to bid on items, or donate an item, please let them know about this and share on your social media pages. We will be limiting the number of items to 20, so it may be that not every item will show on this auction – however we’d be happy to include it in our regular auction in the fall.

The “Amazing Artisan Auction” will be held via Facebook and will be open for bidding between Monday June 6th to Sunday June 12th. Bidding will end that Sunday @ 4pm.

More to come!

004Wood Work – Live Edge ButterfliesBill HarrisIt is approximately 10 inches wide and 20 inches high and 1 inch thick.  This piece is made from a Maple tree I cut down on my property in Greenfield NS. The board was hand milled from the tree and allowed to air dry for one year before being planed to a one inch thick board .   The butterflies were cut freehand using a very fine saw blade. The backing board is a piece from a Hemlock tree which was also cut on my property, milled and hand planed.
